How is it going so far? A few days in. Is everyone feeling motivated or is it starting to wear off?
As for me, I started off really strong. I feel a little more tired and also the stress of a full weekend. And, no thanks to Caroline for the cheese and chocolate fondue! I thought you were being nice but after learning your competitive side I can see it was an attempt at sabotage.
Has anyone found any problems or discrepancies in the spreadsheet? Please let me know.
I would love to see more posts. Any good recipes or tips?

Here's a question:
ReplyDeleteThe spreadsheet has a lot on it focused on weight--weekly weight, weight change, bonus for meeting goal weight, etc. Now, I'm not necessarily focused on losing weight, but more in keeping up good habits and maintaining/building strength. Does this mean I get the bonus points every week as long as I don't gain weight? That doesn't seem very fair to those who have lofty weight goals, but then if we go the other direction then I never have the chance to get the five bonus points. I'm not too concerned about it, but I'd like to know how to keep track. Any ideas?
Dang! You are onto me! haha joke. Now, I feel like I need to post a confession to everyone. Here it goes. I said I would not have any processed sugar and guess what.
ReplyDeleteBad news. I ate some chocolate fondue last night.
Good news. I didn't feel like I over indulged. Even better news. Today is a new day. Renewed strength!
I'm having a tough time staying motivated. It doesn't help that my impending move and vacation within the next month will throw a big wrench into my efforts. I feel like I won't really be able to get into a good routine until May. Hopefully I will be able to make some progress, despite not being able to focus completely on all areas of the competition.
ReplyDeleteAbby, I was wondering about that myself. I am not sure what we should do. I am actually not the one who made the spreadsheet (thanks Amber and Russ) except for a few modifications so maybe they have some ideas what we should do. I don't think you should be penalized.
ReplyDeleteAny one else have any ideas?
It is based on goals, not weight loss. If you want to maintain, you get the bonus points if you don't gain any weight. If you want to gain weight, you get points if you meet your goal. There is not a focus merely on losing weight. Plus, there is no difference between moderate and "lofty" goals. If your weekly weight goal is to lose 1 pound, but your overall goal is to lose 20 you do not have to lose 20 pounds to get the points.
